McGrath earns gold medal

MUNICH, Germany – Cherokee Nation citizen Jon Michael McGrath recently won the 50th International Shooting Sport Federation World Championships’ men’s junior skeet division. 

Along with his world title in Munich, he also won silver at the 2010 United States Championships, gold at the U.S. Junior Championship in Colorado Springs, Colo., and set two national records that he broke in 2009. 

McGrath, an 18-year-old Tulsa, Okla., native, resides at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and is enrolled at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
