HUGH JONES JACKSON

Hugh Jones Jackson, 83 year-old resident of Watts, Oklahoma, Citizen of the
Cherokee Nation and WW II Veteran, died February 13, 2008 at Banner
Thunderbird Hospital, Glendale, Arizona. Born October 4, 1924 in Chewey,
Oklahoma, he was the son of Tom Jackson and Minnie Jones. He married
Beverly Jean Lotz on September 17, 1950 in Yuma, Arizona. He lived the last
18 years of his life in Illinois River area near Green Valley where he was
retired. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Beverly, his parents, Tom
and Minnie, two brothers, Howard Jackson and Dee Jones and a sister Lillian
Wiley.
 
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Jackson and wife Karen of Glendale,
Arizona and John Jackson of Watts, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Jessica
Stringham and husband Jeff of Glendale, Arizona and Christopher Jackson of
Glendale, Arizona; and one great grandchild, Dee Louis Stringham of
Glendale, Arizona and future great grandchild to be born to Jessica and Jeff
in April 2008.
