Apartment rentals available in Tahlequah and Pryor
By STAFF REPORTS TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Cherokee Nation is accepting applications for three-bedroom apartments in Tahlequah and Pryor. The apartments are tribally managed and applicants must have an income below 80 percent of the national median income per family size. Applicants must pass a background check, reference screening and have at least one family member who is a citizen of a federally recognized tribe. According to the tribe’s website, “rent is based on 30 percent of residents’ adjusted income. The security deposit will be waived, but tenants are responsible for paying their own utility bills.” CN citizens will be given preference. Applications for the Tahlequah apartments can be picked up and dropped off at the CN Housing Services Office at 1500 Hensley Drive. Call 918-456-5482 to request an application be sent by mail. Pryor applicants can pick up and drop off paperwork at CN Housing Services offices at 100 Cherokee Heights in Pryor or in Locust Grove at 322 Willard Stone Drive.
