CN to host entrepreneurship class
BY STAFF REPORTS JAY, Okla. – The Cherokee Nation Small Business Assistance Center will host an entrepreneurship class that teaches new business owners how to write a successful business plan. The course covers writing mission statements, executive summaries, marketing strategies and budgets for a basic business plan, along with goals that owners want to achieve. Owners can better secure bank loans and investments, manage resources, focus on key points and prepare for problems with a solid business plan in place. The four-week class is every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting Aug. 2 at the Northeast Oklahoma Community Action Agency located at 856 E. Melton. The class is open to the public with seating limited to 20. Registration is $15 and participants must submit applications by Aug. 1.
