Dugger, Mouse named NSU Outstanding Seniors

TAHLEQUAH – Two Cherokee Nation citizens were named to Northeastern State University’s Alumni Association 2019 Outstanding Seniors list.

Chaydee Lawless, of Rufe, and Gabriel Mouse, of Tahlequah, joined eight other graduating seniors recognized with the honor.

According to a press release, the Outstanding Seniors recognition honors graduating seniors who have made significant contributions to NSU through academic achievement, campus activities, community service, honors and awards. NSU faculty and staff for the Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campuses selected students.

Other honored seniors are Madyson Bush, of Skiatook; Cheyhoma Dugger, of Hartshorne; Billy Jo Gordon, of Weleetka; Rachel Hiatt, of Cleveland; Blaze Milner, of Tulsa; Trenton Morgan, of Choctaw; Nichole Phy, of Sand Springs; and Dae’lyn Smith, of Mannford.

All honorees received a commemorative stole to wear at graduation, a framed award certificate, and a one-year membership to the NSU Alumni Association.
