TAHLEQUAH – According to a Cherokee Nation press release, tribal officials will begin taking early applications for the CN’s 2019 Angel Project this week.

In 2018, 1,700 Cherokee children were assisted through the Angel Project, the release states. And officials said online applications are available at https://webapps.cherokee.org/AngelTree/.

Officials added that those who enter online applications must bring in required documentation to an Indian Child Welfare office location or physical application site for verification in order for the processing of their application to be complete.
