Baker, Vann, Cornsilk to receive Legacy Awards
TULSA – Principal Chief Bill John Baker, Cherokee Nation citizen and Freedmen Association of the Five Tribes President Marilynn Vann as well as CN genealogist David Cornsilk are being honored at 6:30 p.m. on April 18 at the Greenwood Cultural Center’s Legacy Award Dinner.
The Greenwood Cultural Center, located in the heart of Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District, is situated on a former Cherokee allotment at 322 N. Greenwood Ave.
GCC honors individuals and entities whose work on behalf of African Americans cause merit, recognition and elevation.
