TAHLEQUAH – The Sequoyah High School National Honor Society is coordinating a children’s book drive through Dec. 10.
People may donate new or gently used children’s books at any of the following locations: Sequoyah High School, Cherokee First in main Cherokee Nation Complex, Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Tahlequah and the Crescent Valley Baptist Church in Woodall.
The SHS National Honor Society consists of sophomores, juniors and seniors who meet the four ideals of the society: Character, Leadership, Scholarship and Service. Each member must uphold these ideals throughout the school year to be in good standing with the society. The honor society takes part in or organizes several service projects throughout the year.
Books will be distributed to children, ages 1-4, at local schools as Christmas presents. For more information, call Madi Joice at 918-457-6546 or email
