Applications for Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club scholarships open

CLAREMORE – High school seniors who will graduate in May can now apply for the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year.

According to an IWPC press release, the club will sponsor 10 Cherokee students, male or female, who are entering a college, university or vocational school in the fall with scholarships for $600 per academic year.

The release states all applications will be considered for full-time students enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education.

Applications must be received by June 30, according to the release. For information regarding eligibility requirements, call 918-402-3057 or visit indianwpc.org.

To help raise funds for the scholarships, the IWPC will host its annual “Wild Onion Feast” at noon on March 14 at the First United Methodist Church in Claremore.
