Hard Rock offers super getaway for travelers, locals

Among the most popular entertainment attractions offered by the Cherokee Nation, through its Cherokee Nation Entertainment gaming arm, is the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

Sited at 777 W. Cherokee St. in Catoosa, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa includes 1.3 million square feet of gaming and hospitality. The Replay Sports Bar includes 51 TVs; eight dining options including Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill and McGill’s on 19, Slice and the Flip Side’ the musical venues Rifts, Center Bar and Hard Rock Live.

There are also more than 2,000 electronic games, more than 30 table games and more than a dozen poker tables. Guests can go outside to play a round on the 18-hole Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

The $80 million Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa was opened in 2004 and has seen enhancements since Cherokee Nation Businesses in 2015 approved $6.9 million worth of renovations.  

The fully modern hotel has 454 rooms and suites, a luxury spa, swimming and more than 75,000 square feet of meeting areas and convention space.

Standard rooms and suites are offered with king or double queen beds. VIP suites, which each have a king bed, include the Rock ’n’ Roll, Cherokee, Honeymoon and Chief suites.

Guests can also take a free shuttle to Tulsa’s Gathering Place along Riverside Drive, which has received national attention and adulation as a family attraction.

McGill’s on 19, a fine dining experience on the top floor of the hotel, is open evenings after 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Casual dining is offered daily at Toby Keith’s starting at 11 a.m. Also offering casual classics is the HWY 66 Diner, which offers breakfast on Saturday and Sunday after 7 a.m. Tasty food and snacks are offered at all hours by Flip Side. Amp Bar, Riffs, Track Five and the High Limit Bar offer drinks. Amp Bar and Riffs also book live music with local and area artists and DJs.

Salsa, which offers Mexican favorites, and the pizzeria Slice, also are open daily at 11 a.m. The Champions Grill, inside the clubhouse of Cherokee Hills Golf Club, is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in-season and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily during the offseason.

Coffee and beverages are available at Perfect Cub, open daily at 6 a.m. Those preferring a private meal can order in-room dining. 

Along with rows upon rows of electronic games, the casino includes Omaha hold ‘em, Texas hold ‘em and seven-card stud poker tables. Other tables offer blackjack, craps, roulette, three card poker progressive, ultimate Texas hold ‘em progressive and 21 plus 3.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is renowned for bringing the hottest bands and favorite acts to town. Venues include the 45,000-square-foot Hard Rock Live with 2,700 seats, Track 5 with a 1,200-square-foot dance floor and VIP mezzanine, 

With the coronavirus outbreak, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa has temporarily suspended its hotel, and admittance is limited to the casino as of late May. Plans to reopen are not finalized, but when guests can return to the hotel, occupancy will initially be limited and adjusted to fit conditions. Valet services, spa and pool facilities remain closed. The golf course is open.
