100K free masks to be distributed at ‘Got You Covered’ events

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma has teamed up with community partners for “Got You Covered” drive-thru mask giveaway events on Oct. 23 happening simultaneously at sites in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Enid, Bartlesville and Perry.
TULSA – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma has teamed up with community partners for “Got You Covered” drive-thru mask giveaway events on Oct. 23 happening simultaneously at sites in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Enid, Bartlesville and Perry.

The masks are reusable and washable. Each attendee can receive up to five masks at the events, while supplies last. The events are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. except for the Tulsa Dream Center at 200 W. 46th St. N., which is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Other Tulsa sites are the YMCAs at 5005 S. Darlington Ave., and 418 S. Main St.

The Oklahoma City sites are the Latino Community Development Agency at 420 SW 10th St. and the YMCAs at 2817 N. Woodcrest Drive, 11801 S. May Ave., and 4712 N. Martin Luther King Ave.
Event sites for surrounding areas are the Enid YMCA at 415 W. Cherokee, Bartlesville Richard Kane YMCA at 101 N. Osage Ave., and the YMCA at 107 Seventh St. in Perry,
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, wearing face-coverings over the nose and mouth can reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus through the air, allowing for safer interactions between the wearer and others.
