Pocahontas Club to host ‘Old Fashion Picnic’ at Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch

OOLOGAH – The Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club will host its annual “Old Fashion Picnic” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 12 at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch.

The picnic, which is open to the public, is an opportunity to share Cherokee culture and games such as Cherokee marbles, cornstalk shoot, horseshoes and hatchet throwing. Club officials said they expect to hold a hog fry, live music, trout fishing, a BB gun range and pony rides.
