Cherokee heavyweight to box at The Joint’s Xtreme Fight Night
CATOOSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation citizen John Wesley Nofire will compete in his second professional heavyweight-boxing bout Nov. 18 during The Joint’s Xtreme Fight Night at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Nofire, 1-0, will face David Fuller, 0-2, and the bout is scheduled for four, 3-minute rounds.
“He has more experience in the ring than my last opponent and he is a big guy,” Nofire said. “Like all my opponents, we take him very seriously. We, as a team, have trained very hard and look forward to giving everyone a great show on Friday.”
Promoter Dale “Apollo” Cook designed Xtreme Fight Night specifically for The Joint, showcasing boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts.
