MIAMI, Okla. – Cherokee Nation citizen Wesley Nofire won his third professional heavyweight boxing bout on Dec. 30 at the Buffalo Run Casino.

The fight went the distance with Nofire earning a unanimous decision over Fort Worth, Texas native Jamal Woods. Woods was 2-1 going into the fight.

“Going into the fight I knew he would be a tougher opponent then I had seen before,” Nofire said. “His past two wins were by KO and his only loss coming from a 2008 Olympic medalist from Nigeria. So we knew he could take a punch and give one as well.”

According to Nofire’s Facebook page, his next fight will be in February, but no time, date and location has been set.
