TAHLEQUAH – According to an all-employee email, the W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex was locked down at approximately 11 a.m. today.

“Please stay in your departments and lock doors. Keep guests inside your departments. This is not a drill. Cherokee Nation marshals are on site.”

The Cherokee Phoenix has heard conflicting stories about why the marshals locked down the complex and Sequoyah Schools.

We will bring you more as the story unfolds.
