Central Oklahoma Cherokee Alliance Potluck dinner/meeting is Feb. 19
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Central Oklahoma Cherokee Alliance will host a potluck dinner and meeting beginning at 6 p.m., Feb. 19 in the BancFirst Community Room at 1111 N. Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City.
People attending the meeting should use the community room entrance on the west side of the building. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a food item of their choice.
Cherokee Nation officials have been invited to the meeting to provide reports, and COCA officials will make announcements and give recognition to Cherokee citizens in attendance.
The keynote speaker will be Linda Kukuk, illustrator for the book “Wilma’s Way Home, The Life of Wilma Mankiller.” She will discuss her work with Disney and her search for details into Mankiller’s life to provide a full perspective for her illustrations.
