TAHLEQUAH – More than 150 men struggled to walk in high heels for a good cause on April 20 down a mile-long course along Muskogee Avenue.

The “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” event benefitted Help in Crisis, which is an agency that assists women escaping domestic violence. Cherokee people sponsored, coordinated, volunteered and even wore high heels for the event.
