Cherokee artist Christopher Coursey broke down the thought process that helps him become the artist he is today. The inspiration, determination and drive for success has not only enhanced Coursey’s works, but has also assisted with keeping him in touch with his roots.

“I always try to incorporate things that involve emotion, earth, femininity and animals and things like that; and a lot of those things relate back to Cherokee principles,” said Coursey. “You can just grab a pencil and paper, and create something as cool as Leonardo da Vinci.”
